Dear Brothers and Sisters, 

Have you ever seen a total lunar eclipse?

On the night of September 7-8, I was able to watch a total lunar eclipse for the first time. To me, this natural phenomenon was like a sky show, because the moon’s colour transformed magically in the night sky.

That night, the sky in Sapa was clear for seeing the full moon. The big, bright moon cast a gentle light over the town. Under the moonlight, almost everything looked serene and appeared black and white. 

As the moon rose high, it was time for the sky show to get started. From left to right, the Earth’s shadow gradually fell onto the Moon and hid it. At that point, the silver orb became faint and nearly disappeared in the sky.

After a while, the show continued to take place with a big surprise. The dark part of the lunar surface shifted from black to an orange hue. Like magic, the moon slowly changed its colour once again and glowed with a shade of red. 

Contemplating the reddish moon, I was amazed. The gorgeous moon and the starry sky made me feel complete and at peace. Beneath the immense sky, I felt myself so small. The sky show truly gave me a sense of connection, and it was hard for me to forget that precious moment.
