“Du lịch tâm linh” nghe như một cụm từ tréo cẳng ngỗng. Tâm linh nói đến linh hồn bạn. Tourism là nói đến kiếm tiền. Và hiện trạng cho thấy, du lịch tâm linh chỉ là du lịch kiếm tiền, chẳng thấy tâm linh đâu cả.

Một cái chùa lớn cũng chẳng liên quan gì đến tâm linh. Tâm linh là thuần hóa trái tim linh thiêng của mỗi người, là nghiên cứu quán chiếu kinh sách – Kinh Pháp Cú, Kinh Pháp Hoa, Bát Nhã Tâm kinh, Kinh Kim Cang… và các cách tu luyện Thiền, Bát Chánh Đạo v.v… Các bài viết về các khu du lịch tâm linh chỉ nói về chùa lớn, nhiều người du lịch tham quan… Chẳng nghe nói gì về giáo dục trái tim. Rõ ràng đó là những khu du lịch chỉ để kiếm tiền. Đừng nên có từ tâm linh đi theo đó.

Về tâm linh, các phương cách các chùa và đền thờ quảng bá du lịch để kiếm tiền thì rất rõ là đầy tham sân si và nhan đèn mê tín. Tín đồ vào những khu đó e rằng sẽ tham sân si mạnh hơn chứ chẳng thể phát triển tâm thức linh thiêng của mình về hướng Giác Ngộ với chư Phật và chư Bồ tát. Có nghĩa là du lịch tâm linh đóng vai trò lớn trong sự mạt pháp của giáo pháp linh thiêng.

Về pháp lý, thì mình chẳng biết các khu du lịch tâm linh có đóng mọi thứ thuế cho nhà nước như những công ty kinh doanh hay không, hay là không phải đóng thuế gì vì đó là nơi “chùa chiền thờ tự?” Đây là câu hỏi của mình, và mình chưa có câu trả lời, nên chỉ hỏi.

Nhưng nếu vấn đề tiền bạc của các tụ điểm du lịch tâm linh hoàn toàn không có ai kiểm soát chặt chẽ về kế toán và thuế vụ, thì đó là một vấn đề tài chánh quốc gia cần phải giải quyết đứt điểm. Đó không phải là vấn đề nhỏ trong chính sách tài chính và thuế vụ của quốc gia, cũng như chính sách quản lý các cơ sở tự gọi là tôn giáo hay tâm linh.

Dù sao thì chúng ta cần tập trung trước hết vào nuôi dưỡng trái tim linh thiêng của con người. Kiếm tiền bằng du lịch là một điều tốt, nhưng không nên dùng những nơi có vẻ như là nơi thờ tự. Nhập nhằng tiền bạc và tâm linh sẽ tạo thêm tham sân si, và tạo nên mạt pháp. Tội lỗi, tội lỗi.

Du lịch tâm linh – Spiritual tourism

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

“Spiritual tourism” sounds like a cross-legged phrase. Spirituality refers to your soul. Tourism refers to making money. And the current situation shows that spiritual tourism is just tourism to make money, there is no spirituality at all.

A big temple has nothing to do with spirituality. Spirituality is to tame the sacred heart of each person, to study and contemplate the scriptures – Dhammapada, Lotus Sutra, Heart Sutra, Diamond Sutra, and the practice of Zen and The Noble Eight-fold Path, etc. Articles about spiritual tourism areas only talk about big temples, many tourists visiting… There is no mention of educating the heart. Obviously, those tourist areas are only for money making. The word “spirituality” should not be used for such areas.

Regarding spirituality, the ways the pagodas and temples promote tourism to make money are very clearly full of greed, anger, ignorance, and superstition. Believers who go to those areas perhaps increase their greed, anger, ignorance, and will not be able to develop their sacred consciousness towards Enlightenment with Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. That means spiritual tourism plays a big role in the decline of sacred teachings.

Legally, I don’t know if spiritual tourism sites pay all taxes to the government like business companies, or they don’t have to pay any taxes because they are “temples of worship?” This is my question, and I don’t have an answer yet, so I just ask.

But if the money aspect of spiritual tourism sites is completely uncontrolled in terms of accounting and taxation, then it is a national financial problem that needs to be resolved once and for all. It is not a small problem in the country’s financial and tax policies, as well as the management policy over establishments that call themselves religious or spiritual.

Anyway, we need to focus first on nurturing the spiritual hearts of people. Making money through tourism is a good thing, but we should not use places that seem to be places of worship. Confusing money and spirituality will only add to greed, anger and ignorance, and cause the decline of Dhamma teaching. Sin, sin.
