Dear brothers and sisters,

At the corner of the Romantic Road and a main road, there is a lady selling sugarcane juice on the sidewalk under some rain trees (Samanea Saman trees – cây me tây). The sugarcane juice cart has appeared after someone cleaned up the Romantic Road.

Drinking sugarcane juice here is an opportunity for me to sit under the rain trees. They are 25 meter tall and their branches spread ưide. Because their leaves fold in rainy weather, their name are rain trees. And to me, because the trees shed their leaves falling like a rain, I name them rain trees.

I like their rains of leaves. The rains have cooled so many of my summers from Hue, Danang, Hanoi to Saigon. The rains make me grow up.

I wish every city is a forest, where people felt close to nature, and thus, could be close to God.
