Dear Brothers and Sisters

That question has troubled numerous philosophers throughout history, and no one has been able to definitely answered it so that people don’t have to ask that question anymore. Yes, the question will stay alive as long as human is still around.

We cannot use language and logic to determine the existence of God, because God is a spirit, and spirit is invisible. When you talk about what you can’t see with your eyes (plus whatever equipment to aid your vision), it is hard to say anything, just like talking about ghost and demon.

We know that love exists. Can you hand me your love so I see how it looks? Of course, you can’t do that, but still, you know love exists because you feel love very clearly in your heart. We have to “see” invisible things with our feelings, not with our eyes.

John the Evangelist said: “God is Love.” (1 John 4:8). That is a confirmation that God exists and God is Love. Not only that God loves, but God is Love.

Because “God is Love”, you cannot see God by your eyes or logic. You have to use your heart and your feelings to see God.

And that is my experience with God. Basically, the more love you have for the world, the more you feel the presence of God in you. So, you know God exists, God is in you, and God is working with you in everything you do, if you ask God to team up with you in everything.

Here is how you do to get to know God.

1. First, every time you do something with true love – loving the poor, the oppressed, the misfortune, or loving your friend or you wife strongly and honestly in your heart, without wanting anything for yourself – every time you do that, you are doing your work with the Spirit of God in you, or God is doing his work through you – you and God are one.

You will definitely feel the presence of God in you when you think or act with true love. True love is the love you have for others without wanting anything for yourself.

2. You can ask Him to “walk with you” in every thing you do  – entering a meeting at work, taking a phone call from a customer, writing an email, talking to your employees. Whenever you do something, ask God to do it with you as a team. Then you will see God do miracles constantly, every day, many times during a day. Those miracles are the strongest signs, daily, for you to know absolutely that God exists.

Knowing the existence of God is not a matter of argument or logic, but an experience of knowing Love existing in your heart. If you don’t try to experience that, you don’t know the truth that many people say: “God exists and God is Love.” You have to experience Love to know Love.

You can try to experience that with Buddha, Allah, a Bodhisattva of your choice… God can appear in any form in this world to different audiences of different cultures.

When you experience the presence of God, the first thing you want to do is to tell the world about that, the second thing you want to do is to teach someone the way you have experienced God, because seeing God is the greatest blessing you have ever got.

That is my answer to the question “Is there a God?” No logic, no argument, just by experience.
