Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Probably you have heard “Change yourself to change the world” many times. The question is how many people really practice that.

The world has so many problems and, of course, everyone wants the world to change for the better – less war, less sickness, less poverty, less injustice, less inequality, more health, more safety, more equality, more happiness… We all wish the world to be more like heaven.

And that is a problem: we want to world to change.

The world cannot change by itself. OK, my dear? The world cannot change by itself. We, we, we have to change the world. Every one of us has to contribution efforts to change the world.

The world is only a WORD, meaning “all the people in the world”. The world cannot change itself. We humans humans humans have to change the world.

That means, every one of us must have a small part in changing the world.

And in order the change the world, we have to change ourself, to become what we want the world to be: less warring, more peaceful, less oppressing, more loving, less unjust, more caring…

If your own image is different from the image you want the world to have, then you obviously cannot help the world. How can a buffalo make the world look like a lion? Are you kidding? No way, man!

So, before we may help the world, we need to have in us what we wish the world to have. That means, we have to change ourself first.

After we have changed ourself properly, we can go out to share with the world what we have in our heart – justice, equality, caring, loving… Then the world may receive such positive qualities from us for itself, and become better a little.

We don’t need to do anything directly with the world. We only need to treat everyone around us – family, friends, relatives, neighbours, workmates, schoolmates, acquaintances – with the good qualities we have in our heart, and such qualities will gradually soak into their hearts – their hearts are a small part of the world.

So, “Change yourself and you shall AUTOMATICALLY change the world”. That is the new proverb, to replace the one at the beginning of this article.
